- Typically four to five days: preparation, base coats, finish coats, then the sealer. The floor takes light foot traffic after 24 hours and furniture after a week.
- Does the floating floor or carpet have to come out?
- Yes, both have to go — microcement needs a rigid, bonded substrate. The slab underneath is usually ready for the product after a light grind. Removal is inexpensive and we can include it in the quote.
- What about the garage floor?
- That's a different system, built for road salt and freeze-thaw cycles. We do it, but it doesn't price like an interior floor — ask for a separate quote.
